The red dust of Iguenwangue is calling.
For a long time, I have carried a secret—much like the protagonist of my upcoming ebook. I have been building a world where the line between a divine gift and a blood-sucking curse is as thin as a shadow. Today, I am thrilled to finally announce my new ebook: The Seer.
The Story of a Broken Bridge
The Seer follows the journey of Ivie, a young woman who has spent 17 years of her life “leaking” soul and sanity. To her parents, she is a vessel of the ancestors. To her village, she is a mark of doom. But to Ivie, she is simply a woman haunted by the screams of those she cannot save.
When Ivie returns to her childhood home in the village of Iguenwangue, she isn’t just seeking a cure—she is walking into a century-old debt.
This is a story of the Oval Vessels, ancient elemental spirits, and a parasitic entity named Adesuwa who is determined to wear Ivie’s skin to walk the earth once more. It is a tale of family, sacrifice, and the terrifying price of seeing the beginning and the end of all things.
Why I Wrote This Book
This story was born out of a fascination with the weight of legacy. We often talk about the “gifts” our ancestors leave us, but what happens when those gifts are actually chains? I wanted to explore the “Nigerian Gothic” aesthetic—blending traditional spiritualism with the raw, visceral tension of a psychological thriller.
Writing Ivie’s journey—from a crumbling “sieve” of a woman to a stable, powerful seer—has been a journey of its own for me.
